Vodafone Adds its Voice to Newbury Sportive

Ken and Barbara Robson are delighted that Vodafone has agreed to support the Newbury Sportive Cycling Festival with a special award for all the cyclists on the day. The award deal on offer will feature the state of the art Navigator. This “communicator” is ideally suited to cyclists who are likely to be riding by themselves or in groups. The key features of the Navigator include:

  • GPS receiver and built-in maps
  • MP3 player and FM radio
  • Mobile, Broadband and email

Vodafone Basingstoke award will be given to:

  • Victor Ludorum 115mile individual and 115mile team riders
  • Victor Ludorum 75mile individual
  • Top performers in male and female age categories
  • Combined Services team award 115mile
  • Combined Services team award 75mile
  • Combined Services individual

Victor Ludorum - Best of the Golds

 

Come and ride with the most consistent top sportive riders this season as they tackle the Victor Ludorum challenges. The Combined Services bring to the event strength in depth from the Army, Navy and RAF to compete in their first inter Services sportive challenge.

Community Cycling Festival


Do bring your family, friends and especially the kids to traffic-free Newbury Showground and come and let them enjoy / take part in the community cycling activities whilst you are riding your challenge. The community event is actively supported by West Berkshire Council and will be promoting safe cycling and cycling as a healthy lifestyle with activities which includes:

  • RJ Ride Guide Team
  • British Cycling Go Ride
  • AW Cycles – “Fix that Puncture” bike sessions
  • National Safe Cycle Challenge – sponsored laps – 0.3km, 0.5km and 1km
  • Wantage Silver Band

What a welcome return for the sportive riders as they complete their lap of honour to the finish!
